Kolkata, November 23: Suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh was arrested on Saturday after the investigating authorities found prima facie evidence against him in respect of the Saradha scam.
Briefing reporters, Arnab Ghosh DC , Detective Department of Bidhannagar City Police said, “prime facie evidence indicates that Kunal Ghosh played an equal part in the conspiracy.”
Mr Ghosh, who was once very close to the party, was the Group CEO of Saradha’s media outfits. He earned the party’s ire after hinting that top party men were the beneficiaries of the scam.
Mr Ghosh had anticipated his arrest on Friday saying that the police were acting at the behest of the party and he was being made a scapegoat.
