Mangalore, September 13: A man was put behind bars by the district cops for raping a minor girl at Kalya on Septmber 10th.The man identified as Pradeep Poojary(28) , resident of Kalya village in Karkala was taken into custody within hours of crime.
Pradeep had raped the girl at an isolated place in Kalya when she was on her way back home. On the same day a plaint was filed by the victim at a local police station.
The rapist was working in a pub where he was arrested by a Crew of Cops led by the Assistant Superintendent of Police Mr Annamalai. He was produced before the District and sessions court in Udupi. The court has passed a judgement to detain the accused under judicial custody.
