Mangalore, October 3: The Police Commissioner of Mangalore has passed an order of a change in the traffic path with an overview of the Mangalore Dasara Procession approaching ahead on October 4th.

The procession will begin on 4th of October at 4pm from Kudroli Shree Gokarnanatha Temple comprising various Tableaus through the areas such as Mannagudde- Lady-Hill- Lalbhagh- PVS- KSR road- K.B. Road, Ganapathi High School Road- Mohini Vilas – Rathabeedi – Lower car street – New Chitra –Alake and will arrive at the Kudroli temple, thereby end up at the lake of the sanctum.

During this occasion, over 30,000 publics are expected. In addition, the people are going to view this procession throughout the street. Hence to avoid untoward incidents, alternative arrangements have been made for the vehicles using this road, as indicated in the order passed by the Police Commissioner.

All the vehicles arriving into the City via Kottara Chowki and from Bajpe have to enter the city through Kuntikana- KPT- Nanthur routes.

All the vehicles leaving the city to the areas such as Kottara, Kuntikana, Bajpe, Udupi and Karkala have to move via Bunts hostel to Nanthur and continue through the Highway.

Keeping the huge crowd gathering in mind, as soon as the procession begins; prior to which all the vehicle movement have to be halted which moves from New chitra to Kudroli area, Alake junction to Kudroli temple. These vehicles have to move via the routes Kundathpalli – Mandi – Kudroli – Bokkapatna.

The traffic is barred along the procession routes during the time of procession. When the vehicles arrives at the respective junctions, all the vehicles will be stopped which arrives from the opposite routes as well as the other routes which joins at the junction.

All the KSRTC buses which arrives and departs at the KSRTC terminus have to move via the K.P.T- Kintikana route. On both the edges of streets by which the procession proceeds, parking is strictly restricted.
