Mangalore, October 9: The foundation stone laying ceremony for the much awaited stadium of St. Gerosa School in Jeppu, Mangalore was held on October 6th morning at 9 am.
St. Gerosa School is celebrating its Golden Jubilee on Jan 5th 2015. This reconstruction and Restructuring of the playground is one of the main projects taken up by the school. Mr. Ashok Mendonca, with his architectural skills, will be the backbone of this project.
Mr. J R Lobo, Hon’ble MLA congratulated the Management and expressed his happiness and said – the students must make the best use of this stadium and the infrastructure provided and rise up to level in the sports field to represent the State and the Nation at the International Standard.
MLC Mr. Ivan Dsouza, said the children/youth are our future and the school has come with a good project of supporting the sports activities in the school, Let us all promote sports activities and the school should produce Sportsmen who will shine in the Asian and Olympic level, he said.
Mr. J R Lobo MLA, Mr. Ivan D’souza MLC, Mrs. Jacintha Alfred – local corporator, Capt J P Menezes , Sr. Marceline, Correspondent and HM of Primary School and Sr.Emma, HM of High school along with few other eminent personalities, members of GEXSA, teachers, PTA members, well – wishers, philanthropists witnessed the landmark occasion.
