 Former chief minister Veerappa Moily launches Blood component separation unit in Mangalore.

Mangalore, October 19: Former chief minister Veerappa Moily has said, more co-ordination is expected from the public and private sectors towards health care.

He inaugurated the blood bank unit and blood component separation instruments which were installed at the Indian red-cross district unit by the one crore aid given by Bharath petroleum corporation limited from its social welfare fund.

The entrepreneurs group should seriously consider the medical field towards the up-liftment of the country. In this view, during his rule, he had strictly implemented a rule that the corporate sector has to utilize 2percent of its income towards the social developments. If this rule is implemented properly throughout the nation, then the medical field will develop into a trade which may be able to take additional care of the public’s health.

He lauded the BPCL for its donation towards the Blood bank unit at Lady Groschen Hospital and said, the building which is constructed by the MRPL at an expense of 22 crore’s will be completed soon.

Minister Ut Khader, Inaugurated the additional 60 bedded womens and childrens hospital unit in government Lady Groschen Hospital. He said, the state government has an aim of constructing a Karnataka state with healthy citizens. By linking the blood banks throughout the state, it has an aim of aiding the citizens during emergencies. The state is also the first in the country for implementing the health projects for both the APL and BPL card holders. In this view, Healthizen, chief-minister relief projects, Rajeev Aarogya Bhagya projects are employed in the state.

In order to provide good food for the patients and those who accompany them, an order is passed to provide good food in the canteen, said UT Khader.
