Bantwal, October 22: A private rammed into a bike, severely injuring the rider on the National Highway 75 at Talapady. This incident occurred on Tuesday, October 21st.
The deceased is identified as Ranjith, a resident of Barimaru.
Ranjith is a Television Mechanic by profession.
It is gathered that, as he was moving through the curve near Thalapady on the National Highway, the over-speeding bus knocked his bike from rear end. According to the witness, Ranjith was thrown to the road and the tyre of the bus moved over his belly. He was rushed to a private hospital in Thumbay.
The Bantwal sub-Inspector Nandakumar and police personnel’s have inspected the spot and investigated. A case has also been registered.
Since the curve is dangerous, prior to this a lot of accidents had taken place here since the vehicles on the National Highway move swiftly. Hence the locals have urged the Cops to take suitable traffic safety measures here.
