Mangalore, October 27: Railway Minister D V Sadananda Gowda has stated that, “I have not exploited the government’s and the public’s money. After submitting the nomination to the Lok Sabha polls, I have taken loan from Federal bank for certain dealings. As a result, there has been an increase in my property”, confirmed the minister.
The clarifying the recent allegations of the National election monitoring and democratic reforms association, that five months after the NDA came to power in national elections, a rise in property value of Sadanda Gowda is observed. To clarify it, a press conference was organised at his residence on Sunday. He revealed that, he had obtained debt of Rs 15 crore from Canara Bank Mangalore, Corporation Bank Mangalore, Federal Bank Mangalore and Apex Bank Bangalore. He explained that through these loans he had invested for some business.
He explained that, he had requested Rs 8.5 crore was from the Federal Bank during September 2013. On November 20th, 2013 a loan of Rs 8 crore was granted. In addition to this, he had discussed with the building traders. A few days later, he had to face the Lok Sabha elections. As a result, he had to postpone business, temporarily. After the election, a few days before the counting he continued with his business. On 23.5.2014, Rs 8 crore loans from Federal Bank were granted to me. He released all the Federal Bank documents to the media stating that, he had not misused the people’s money.
It was alleged that, the central railway Minister Sadananda Gowda who had declared his income as Rs 9.88 crore during the Lok Sabha elections, had seen a rise of 20.34 crores that is a hike of Rs 10.46 crore in assets.
