Mangaluru, November 3: The chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah addressing a press meet on Sunday, November 2nd at the Mangaluru International Airport said, “A task force committee will be formed within two days. The committee members comprise police, educational, women and child welfare departments and will make institutions to follow the guidelines issued by the government. It will hold meeting with parents and management and aims at preventing sexual assaults of minors in school”.
He said “The sexual assault cases on minor girls took place at private institutions. Employees of this institution have committed this crime in their premises. Employees are appointed by management itself. Hence while appointing the employees; the management should check their past background since it is difficult to stop these appointments by the government”.
Chief Minister speaking about kidnap and sexual assault of high school girl at Thirthahalli, said ” The investigation are going on truth will be traced”.
Chief Minister speaking on invoking the Goonda Act against the sexual offenders said “Already amendment has been enacted, it will effectively be implemented. Goonda Act can be invoked directly on sexual offenders. One has to remain in prison for a year. Under the chairmanship of former minister MC Nanaiah, expert committee has been constituted”.
