Mangaluru, November 7: In a press meet held on November7th Friday the deputy Commissioner of DK district has revealed that the Jan-dhan Project launched on August 28th 2014 was over according to the concerned bank reports which surveyed 4.40 lakhs of families of the district and has opened at least one savings bank account for a member of from a family.
According to the directions of finance department of government of India, the following measures have to be taken to declare the district as 100 percent financially included.
- Completing the survey of all families.
- Declaration in main government offices that all families have opened an account.
- Information of the account opening project is broadcasted through the TV, Radio and advertisements, though any family is left over to open an account, they are requested to immediately visit the nearest branch of bank and open an account or requested to contact the District Administration/ Thashildhar. If such cases are reported, measures will be taken to open an account immediately.
Since all the above procedures are completed, a report would be submitted to the government soon and measures will be taken to declare as 100 percent financially included district.
