Mangaluru, November 10: Indian Coast Guard’s Air Cushion Vehicle (ACV) H-196 and H-198was commissioned by Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala on Monday November 10th at premises of Coast Guard Center Station district head quarters Mangaluru.
Addressing the gathering Vajubhai Vala said “Coast guard is now equipped with advanced technology to the protection of nation. This vehicle will be very useful to battle against terrorists who enter through the sea route.”
He further said, “Soldiers work with only view to live and die for the country. Due to their service, all the citizens in the country are safeguarded. We should also respect the soldiers who protect our nation”.
IG SPS Basra, YSM, PTM, TM Commander Coast Region (West) presented his key note address.
Rajamani Sharma, Deputy Inspector General of Indian Coast Guard and Commander of Coast Guard, Karnataka, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Moideen Bava, Deputy Commissioner AB Ibrahim, ZP CEO Tulasi Maddineni Police Commissioner R Hitendra, and others were present during the occasion.
