Mangaluru, November 11: BJP protested in front of the KSRTC bus stand at Bejai on November 11, Tuesday demanding to reduce KSRTC bus fares.
Former MLA Yogish Bhat, speaking during the protest queried why the KSRTC fails to lessen the fares when the fuel prices falls when it revises the fares as soon as fuel prices go up.
Speaking on the occasion, Umanath Kotian, BJP leader expressed his dissatisfaction at the KSRTC for not reducing the fares despite the reduction in diesel price twice. He said the BJP stage severe protest if the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation fails to reduce the fare.
Former MLC Monappa Bhandari, also spoke on the occasion.
In the protest, BJP leaders Pushpalatha Gatti, Roopa D Bangera, Corporator, Sanjeeva Matandoor and others had participated.
