Mangaluru, November 18: In the rape case of 69 year old woman which took place on June 14th, 2013 at Alape, the sixth Additional District Sessions and special court has proclaimed life imprisonment to the offender.
The accused Rajesh (25) hailing from Chintamani, Chikkaballapur district had raped the elderly lady who was staying all alone in her house on June 14th 2013. The elderly woman is the mother of four children.
One of her daughters is constructing a house adjacent to her house. The mason Rajesh who came to work for the project under the contractor stayed in a shed close to the woman’s house.
Nagesh knocked the rear door of the woman’s house on the evening of June 14th, 2013 and gained entry to the house, raped the woman, threatened her and fled with valuables.
The neighbors who learnt about the crime, lodged a complaint at Mangaluru Rural police station. He was caught by the cops on the next day.
