Kasargod, November 19: The house old of the three youths from Kasargod who had landed at Singapore through visiting visa have received information that they are imprisoned there.
The trio have been identified as C S Shihabuddin(29) from Choori Battamppare, A S Hasim(35) from R D Nagar, and M Mohammed Nawaz (34) from Mogral Puttur.
They had gone to Singapore on June 1st, 2014. They were promised to be employed in the building of a businessman hailing from Kasargod. On June 2nd, when their luggage was checked at Changi Airport Singapore, fake credit cards were found in it. The credit cards were found in the bag given by the person who had arranged their visa. They were asked to hand over the bag to a person waiting outside the airport.
However, the trio youths were arrested for a crime that they did not commit. Since there was no information from them even after four months after their departure, their family began to inquiries and came to know that they were imprisoned at Singapore.
The person who arranged for their visa has absconded to gulf, it is said. Their families are anxious and have requested the government to try and get them released as soon as possible.
A requisition has been sent by their families to Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Union minister Sushma Swaraj, and other ministers at the Center and the State, to get them released.
