Mangaluru, December 6: Crisis arouse at Ulaibettu, Mangaluru on Friday night, December 5th after few miscreants allegedly attacked a bus carrying pilgrims moving towards Datta Peetha in Chikmagalur district.
The pilgrims allegedly pelted stones in reprisal over the miscreants. The pelted stones have damaged few vehicles and the window panes of a close by mosque in Vamanjoor. Mean while, group of youth belonging to a community assembled near Vamanjoor Junction damaged few bikes, rickshaws and attacked on some houses.
The police officials and Kankanady cops immediately rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. Post this incident, additional police force was deployed, at Vamanjoor and Ulaibettu and no untoward incidents were reported.
Three persons who were critically injured got admitted to private hospital in the city. A total of eight members including women and girls were admitted to Wenlock hospital here.
Rajashekharananda Swamiji from Vajradehi Math has visited Wenlock hospital at night itself and pacified the injured.
