Mangaluru, January 19: Led by CITU and Federation of Karnataka Auto rickshaw driver’s union, a protest was staged by the Auto rickshaw drivers against the reduction of the Auto fares on Monday January 19th in front of the DC office in Mangaluru.
Vasanth Achari, CITU leader addressed the protesters and said; only the price of crude oil has come down. But the insurances, and auto spare parts rates, are more. The auto drivers are suffering a huge loss. Hence, he urged that the Deputy Commissioner withdraw the order passed.
Leaders of CITU Sunil Kumar Bajal, Mohammed Ansar, Krishnappa Gowda, Yogendra, Keshav along with auto owners and drivers had participated in the protest.
