Mangaluru, January 23: Six persons have been arrested concerned to a group clash which occurred due to old rivalry in K S Rao Nagara at Mulky.
The arrested are namely Ganesh (45), Nithin (19), Niyaz, Fayaz, Hafiz and Imran.
Sources said, an old petty rivalry was the main cause behind the fight.
It is gathered that Niyaz and Fayaz questioned Ganesh and Nitin of K S Rao Nagara for parking their bike near Kordabbu temple. It resulted in a quarrel and the group assaulted each other.
The police complaint filed by Nithin, states rods, sticks and planks were used in the assault and even women were threatened.
The injured men have been admitted to Mulky government hospital and a private hospital in Mukka.
Sufficient police personnel have been deployed in the area to avoid untoward incidents from taking place.
