Mangaluru, January 27: The ‘Kodial Teru’ festive at Shree Venkataramana Temple at Car Street in Mangaluru was celebrated in the prime presence and guidance of Sri Samyameendrateertha Swamiji, Patta Shishya of Sri Sudheendrateertha Swamiji, the spiritual head of Kashi Math during the auspicious goodhooli lagna on the occasion of ratha sapthami.
Huge crowd of devotees from the country and abroad participated in the celebrations on Monday January 26th.
The idol of Lord Venkatesha was brought in a golden palanquin, placed in a beautifully decorated chariot and was taken through the Temple Square.
The idol was installed on the chariot by Sri Samyameendrateertha Swamiji, Patta Shishya of Sri Sudheendrateertha Swamiji, the spiritual head of Kashi Math.
Rituals such as Gangabhisheka, Panchamrita and Shatakalashabhisheka were also carried out under the guidance of Sri Samyameendrateertha Swamiji.
The chariot was later drawn by thousands of devotees who had arrived from various near and far-off regions.
