Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday appointed in-charge ministers for all the 30 districts. Except for the Public Works Minister Dr H C Madadevappa who has been made in-charge of two districts, all other ministers are in charge of one district each.
As per the official notification, Forest minister B Ramanath Rai will be in charge of the Dakshina Kannada district while urban development minister Vinaya Kumar Sorake will be in charge of the Udupi district.
The other two ministers from the undivided coastal Dakshina Kannada – Abhayachandra Jain and U T Khadar – will be in charge of Chikmagalur and Kolar districts respectively.
Senior Congress leader and Medical Education and Tourism minister R V Deshpande has been entrusted with the responsibility of the Uttara Kannada district.
While film star Ambarish has been put in charge of Mandya district, V Srinivasa Prasad is in charge of Mysore and Dr H C Mahadevappa, who is very close to the chief minister, has been put in charge of Hassan and Kodagu districts.
