Mangalore, May 30: It has been revealed that state unit of Kannada Sahitya Parishat has chosen noted poetess and columnist Jyothiguruprasad, resident of Karkala for the prestigious endowment award.
One of her quite popular columns was ‘Joli Lali’ which appeared in Vartha Bharathi Kannada daily. Another compilation of her column writings had also bagged her the international year of the woman endowment award 2012.
Apart from the above, she was also the recipient of Neelaganga endowment award, Niratha sahitya award and HA MA Nayaka columnist award.
Some of her much acclaimed poems are Chukki, Varanandi Prathime and Mayapettige along with her another popular column “Ee Kshana”.
