Mangaluru, February 26: Vijaynath Vittal Shetty, president of Hindu Samajotsava committee addressing a press meet in the city on Thursday, February 26th has said, although many people attempting to prevent us from organizing the Hindu Samajotsava on March 1st, the event will be held successfully.
The press meet was organized by the VHP golden jubilee committee and Hindu Samajotsava committee.
M B Puranik, working president of VHP Karnataka zone speaking on this occasion informed that, during Hindu Samajotsava on March 1st, at 2pm procession will be held from Jyothi circle, which comprises of chende team, bhajan, tableaux, cultural teams and many other artistes.
Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math will bless the occasion. The event will be presided over by Dr Veerendra Heggade. Sadhwi Balika Saraswati will address the gathering. The program will end by 5:30 pm, he said.
Jagadish Shenava- District president of VHP said, 20 Swamijis will arrive for the function. Throughout the preparations, the police department has extended support and around 3,200 police men will be deployed during the function. About 500 buses are allotted.
