Mangaluru, March 17: An incident occurred here on Monday evening March 16th at Mogaveerapatna, in which the locals handed over a young pair that had visited Ullal beach for amusement was handed over to the cops by locals.
The young boy is identified as Ubaidulla (19) resident of Kudroli in the city, and the girl resident of Moodushedde, Vamanjoor here, was taken into custody by the Ullal cops.
They had arrived to the beach in a Honda Activa scooter. Public’s who noticed their obscene mannerism at the beach, on questioning the pair learnt that the duo belong to different religions were students of one of the city based tutorial. They later informed the Ullal cops and handed the couple into their custody.
It is gathered that the two were led to the office of assistant police commissioner, Kalyani Shetty.
It is gathered that Zohara (41), mother of Ubaidulla, died of cardiac arrest on Monday, after she came to know that her son had been arrested. Sources said that, Zohara was suffering from heart ailments from quite some time.
