Mangaluru, March 25: The extensive use of technology in the government services, will benefit the public’s and these services will be available at the earliest, said Prabhakar- the project director of e-administrative centre, Bengaluru. He spoke in a national e-administration project divisional level workshop organized in the hall at DC office here on Wednesday, March 25th.
The e-administrative project has begun in Karnataka from 2013. The entire salary of all the government employees in the state has been fully computerized by adopting HRMS system, which is the best system in the country. Apart from this over five lakh government works, collection and purchase are managed through e-procurement system. So far about dealings of about 2.50 lakh crores has been done through this, he said.
Present union government has announced of spending 1 lakh crore for maintenance of e-administration. Hence in forth coming days some more departments will be technically upgraded, said Prabhakar.
Through e-procurement, the system of handing over of government works contract is going on smoothly now. Due to this, the quality of works have improved, he said.
Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim inaugurated the workshop. Resource persons from e-administration department were Laxmikanth, H S Shanker, and Shreenivas Reddy. Additional DC Sadashiva Prabhu welcomed.
