Mangaluru, March 26: Pertained to the accident case of a vehicle which was trafficking cattle illegally, during which 19 cows had died, the chief judicial magistrate court has penalized the all the five accused of Rs 10,000.
Cattle were loaded in the Tata 407 tempo and was being illegally transported on the morning of April 7th, 2012, had fallen by the roadside on Urwa Store – Kottara Chowki road.
Among 30 cattle, 18 had died on spot in this accident, which is said to have happened due to careless driving. Rest of the 12 cows had suffered injuries, and one of them had died when being shifted to hospital.
On behalf of the prosecution, Uggemar Srinivas Hegde- senior public prosecutor had presented the case.
Cattle dealer, Hussain Katipalla, Muhammed Ashraf- driver of the said vehicle, Jia-Ul-Haq, Kulai Hussain, and Abdul Razak, were punished.
