Mangaluru, March 30: A youth has been reportedly stabbed to death at Derebail Nekkilagudde here, during late night on Sunday.
Ritu alias Ritesh(29), a resident of Nekkilagudde is the deceased. Ritesh was stabbed to death at Prashanth Nagar in Nellakkigudde here after some financial dispute aroused.
On the night of March 29th, Ritesh along with his friends had participated in Shaneeshwara pooja and were on their way back home when this incident occurred. At around 1.30 am in the night, a person identified as Prabhakar Bangera along with Nishant Kavoor and others waylaid Ritesh who allegedly attacked him using a sharp weapon and stabbed him to death.
Police sources said, verbal clash had taken place between Ritesh and Prabhakar over a financial issue since some time which gradually ended up in murder.
Three friends of Ritesh have suffered injuries during the incident who have been admitted to a private hospital here.
It is gathered that the accused have absconded.
A case stands registered in Kavoor police station and investigations are underway.
Girish Puthran murder accused:
Ritesh was the prime accused in murder case of JDS leader Girish Putran which took place on December 21st, 2012.
Rajesh, lover of Natasha from Kodikal; who learnt that Natasha was in contact with Girish Putran; joined along with Nithasha’s another friend Prashanth from Bolur and got murdered Girish Putran through Ritesh.
After the murder he was loitering in various places and remained elusive. The then Inspector at Bajpe- Dinaker Shetty, and his team on learning that the accused had arrived to his native by the end of March 2013, arrested Ritesh from near Kulur and had sent him behind bars.
Rithesh who remained in prison for about a year was later released on bail. Post this he stayed at Nellakkigudde.
