Mangaluru, April 6: D K District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Mangaluru City Corporation and Social Welfare department under their joint collaboration celebrated the 108th birth anniversary of former Deputy Prime minister Dr Babu Jagajevanram.
Dakhsina Kannada Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim inaugurated the program.
D K Zilla Panchayat President Asha Thimmappa Gowda presiding over the program said, it is necessary to completely root out un-touchability which still prevails in various forms in the society.
The resource person was Y Shivaramaiah.
ZP CEO PI Vidya, SP standing committee president Menakshi Manjunath was the guests. District social Welfare officer Dr G Santhosh Kumar welcomed the gathering. Rohith Ullal compeered the program.
