Mangaluru, April 07: MLA J.R Lobo handed over a cheque of Rs 70,000 on Tuesday, April 7th; to the family of Dayakar Bangera, resident of Maroli to renovate their house, which had recently collapsed due to rain.
Dayakar Bangera has lost both of his legs, and his wife is employed at a printing press.
MLA who noticed the pathetic condition of the family had inspected the house four days ago, and had taken the responsibility of arranging for the funds to renovate their house.
Today, the MLA handed over the cheque bearing Rs 70,000 to the family. He thanked the revenue department for granting the money soon.
Some locals also stretched their help to the family.
