Mangaluru, April 15: The Karnataka Dalita Sangarsha Samithi(R) took to a protest in front of Dr B R Ambedkar’s statue here, alleging that the government has neglected their demand to build Ambedkar Bhavan in Mangaluru, for which they were pressing from a long time.
A land measuring 1.65 cents was acquired near Derebail, in Mangaluru to construct for Ambedkar Bahvan. It is sad that the government is delaying the construction of Ambedkar Bhavan in the land, said the protesters.
The protesters submitted a memorandum to the District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai and demanded the construction process of Ambedkar Bhavan as soon as possible.
