Mangalore, June 11: It has been reported that house of Maria Cutinha,which was renovated just eight months ago has suffered a heavy damage after the concrete retaining wall of an adjacent compound collapsed over it on June 11,Monday, due to torrential rain which poured continuously for the past two days.
Sources said that due to the collapse of the retention wall, extended portion of the house, which includes bed room, dining room and kitchen were totally damaged.Maria,owner of the house sustained minor injuries in the incident.
As per the available information, Leena Pinto constructed the retention wall.
Kankanady police and local corporator Keshava have visited the spot.
