Mangaluru, May 4: In mass wedding held at Rosario cathedral, 14 couples entered into wedlock in the presence of Bishop of Mangaluru diocese Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, on Sunday, May 3rd.
Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu, prime priest of the diocese gave a discourse.
Dr Aloysius D’Souza, while delivering his precious talk said, in a family life, it is not only sharing happiness but it is also necessary to share sorrows too. He blessed all the new couples on this occasion.
In the ceremony which followed later, chief of Karnataka agencies Richard Rodrigues was the chief guest. He appreciated St Vincent De Pav sabha (SVP) which had organized this mass wedding ceremony.
President of SVP Kendriya Samithi- Herald Monteiro, congratulated the new couples.
Prime Priest of Rosario Cathedral- Fr J B Crasta welcomed the gathering.
SVP president C J Simon and secretary Mary J Pinto, proposed vote of thanks.
Dolphy Tauro and Lawrence Pinto hosted the traditional ceremony of handing over the brides to their newly wedded husband’s family.
Sharol Sony Monteiro and Molly D’Souza compeered the program.
