Mangaluru, May 11: “Pilikula Matsyotsava” will be organized by Dr Shivarama Karantha Pilikula Nisarga Dhama near the boating lake on May 17th, informed AB Ibrahim, the Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada.
Addressing a press meet he said, the fishes such as Catla, Rohu, local Gende fish which are grown in Pilikula boating lake will be caught and auctioned to the publics until they are over. Along with this variety fishes such as Pamfrets, Anjal, Bangude, Boothai, Prawns, Squid, fresh fish and fish products will be sold by the Karnataka Fisheries Development Board. Fresh fish fry, fish masala, fish Kebab, and other food stuffs will be prepared very clean and tastily on the spot. Exhibition and sale of ornamental fishes will also be there. The citizens support is needed for this, said the DC.
On this occasion, SA Prabhakar Shetty, MG Mohan, Manjunatha Bhandary and others were present.
