Mangalore, June 19: State Home Minister KJ George visited city’s Gokarneshwara temple on June 19, Wednesday and on behalf of the temple’s management, president H S Sairam has honored and felicitated the minister.

While addressing the media reporters he said in his address that the Somasekhar report on the church attacks in 2008 was not officially tabled in the state Assembly but only submitted to the cabinet and the inquiruy team, and circulated unofficially. The report will be discussed in the next Assembly session,” said home minister K J George.
When reporters asked about the moral policing in the district, minister said moral policing does not have place in the constitution and hence those who are indulging in moral policing will be dealt with iron hand and those who are trying to disorganize harmony amongst the people will also be punishable offence, he added.
When asked about the deluge in Uttarkhanda, where many Kannadigas including former minister Shobha Karandlaje have been trapped, minister said that he is in constant touch with Uttarkhanda authorities and Chief Minister, they assured all the protection to all the Kannadigas trapped over there. Then minister headed towards Ullal Darga.
