Moodbidri, June. 20: Alva’s Pragati, largest job fair in Karnataka witnessed grand opening for its 6th edition here at Vidyagiri. Abhayachandra Jain, Minister, GOK, inaugurated the programme.
He told that Alva’s Pragati has been organized for the benefit of students belonging to various parts of Karnataka and India who are in the need of job. There are thousands of talented students and may this Alva’s Pragathi bring happiness for them by getting a job.
A.B Ibrahim, Deputy Commissioner, Daksina Kannada District, said that there was a time when everything was made by the govt. But today, even the private colleges are organizing such programmes. It is a good exposure to all to know the companies, interview procedures. Some may not get the job, but it is a good exposure.
Nalin kumar Kateel, MP of Dakshina Kannada in his presidential remarks, told that there is lot of opportunities while perusing education, but there is scarcity of job. To fulfill those needs, Alva’s Pragati is a good platform and the students should make use of it.
Dr.M.Mohan Alva, Chairman, Alva’s Education Foundation welcomed the gathering. Mrs.Deepa Rathnakar, lecturer in Psychology mastered the ceremony.
More than 20 thousand students are expected to visit this 2 day job fair and there are about 280 companies from various sectors are participating in Alva’s Pragati and looking for right candidates for various positions in India and abroad.
