Mangaluru, July 10: A youth at Suratkal railway station has reportedly assaulted the station master. The incident happened on Thursday, July 9th.
The victim station master is Rajesh who was later treated for his injuries at the government hospital in Suratkal.
The assaulter Charan D (17) was later traced and arrested.
It is gathered that, when Mumbai to Mangaluru Matsyagandha express arrived at Suratkal station, the ticket checking staff on duty asked a young man to show his platform ticket. But the youth who did not have the ticket began to quarrel. The station master who saw this intervened and enquired about the matter. The station master asked the youngster to go to his office. But the youngster suddenly attacked the station master. The boy later ran away from the spot.
Suratkal police have filed a case against the accused.
