Mangaluru, August 04: In order to avoid the suicide of the farmers and develop confidence among them, the “Baduku Besaya” campaign organized by the Information and Public Relations Department was inaugurated by district in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai on Monday, August 03rd; in the Zilla Panchayat premises here.
The campaign aims to change the minds of the farmers and develop confidence among them. It intends to create awareness that suicide is not a solution to the problems that come across in life, if we challenge those problems; life can be lead beautifully.
The Information and Public Relations Department has organized this expedition, and the awareness program was exhibited taking the co-operation of the experts to present a road show and folk songs.
A beautiful message which depicted the way to best utilize the chances available and face the challenges in life and move ahead; was also given on this occasion.
The recorded message of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on encouraging agriculture and building confidence among the farmers was broadcasted throughout the journey. Along with this, pamphlets related to the topic were also distributed.
Awareness boards containing messages to avoid the farmer’s suicide were also erected in the main places on the Highway.
Zilla Panchayat president Asha Thimmappa Gowda, vice president Sathish Kumpala, CEO Shrividya and others were present on this occasion.
