Bantwal, August 11: In connection to the murder of Nasir and deadly attack on a auto rickshaw driver at Sajipamooda which took place recently, the Bantwal town police have arrested three persons.
The arrested accused has been identified as Anish, Kiran and Vijith all from Manchi. Another accused, Abhijeet, has absconded. The police have launched a wide search to track him.
A team led by Bantwal town police circle inspector, K U Belliappa and comprising personnel from district crime intelligence bureau and the Bantwal town police station participated in the arrest operations.
Bantwal town police Sub-Inspector, Nandakumar, said that the accused would be produced in the court.
As the murder had occurred late in the night, the police initially found it difficult to nab the culprits. Police had summoned people indulged in crimes to the police station and investigated, but in vain.
It is said that the accused had done this attack as revenge in retaliation to an attack which occurred few days ago at Salethur in the taluk and not for murdering the victim.
