Mangaluru, August 19: Two men were attacked by a group at Kallapu near Thokkotu, outskirts of Mangaluru on Tuesday night, August 18th.
The injured are Kavith Poojary from Ullalbail and Preetesh (23) from Thokkottu Krishna Nagar.
It is gathered that Preetesh and Kavith were travelling in a Ritz car. At Adam Kudru concerned to the matter of overtaking they had clash with the driver of a tempo transporting fish. By the time the Ritz car reached Kallapu, a group of around 100 people were seen waiting for the car. About 10 persons from among the group attacked Preetesh and Kavith, it is learnt.
A tense situation prevailed in the area.
Ullal police rushed to the spot, dispersed the crowd and took the situation under control. Police admitted the injured youths to hospital.
