Mangaluru, August 21: The vicinity near Gantalkatte in Moodbidri was tensed, following a clash between activists of a right-wing outfit and people belonging to another community on Thursday August 20th.
It is said based on reliable information, the right-wing activists raided a spot where cattle had been tied near Gantalkatte junction. They alleged that the animals were to be taken for illegal slaughterhouse.
Raged over this, youths belonging to another community protested and arguments arose between the two groups. The arguments soon turned into a full-fledged fight.
Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
It is learnt from the sources that at least three members from the right-wing outfit have been admitted to hospital.
