Mangaluru, August 22: A man was electrocuted and the other person was seriously injured while they were repairing a high voltage transformer, at AB Shetty circle, in the city on Friday, August 21st. The incident occurred at around 4pm on Friday.
Alexander Pias (50), resident of Derebail is the deceased. Another person Narayan (43), from Subramanya, was seriously injured in the incident. Both were employed as lineman in MESCOM.
The injured has been admitted to a private hospital in the city.
Eye witnesses said that both the workers were electrocuted while they were working on the transformer and collapsed down. They were immediately rushed to the hospital.
Alexander Pias was declared brought dead. The injured person is said to be serious.
