Mangaluru, September 07: The Mosaru Kudike ceremony was celebrated on Sunday, September 6th.
Streets of Mangaluru City appeared colourful in the day with colourful pots hung ready to be broken by enthusiastic groups later on. Variety of fruits and eatables were also hung in between them.
In the evening on Sunday, sea of people was witnessed in different parts of the city celebrating Mosaru Kudike and other cultural programmes organized.
Kadri remained the centre of attraction on Sunday too with Mosaru Kudike competitions as well as a cultural procession.
Procession began from the Gopalakrishna Temple, Kadri Kambala and passed through the main streets and reached Kadri Manjunatha Temple. The procession comprised of attractive tableaux, Chande, Nasik band, Tiger dance and the Idol of Lord was also taken.
A display of crackers accompanied the procession and all along the route, the enthusiastic participants broke Mosaru Kudikes. The crowd was seen catching the eatables which were thrown at them.
In the evening, Rhythmic Nite ’15, a musical evening organized by Kadri Cricketers Club was organized at Kadri grounds here. Star Ravichandran was invited to the show late in the evening. People were seen witnessing the program standing at various buildings in the vicinity.
