Mangaluru, October 22: Ayuddha Pooja was grandly celebrated across the city and state on October 22nd. Ayuddha Pooja is celebrated on the ninth day of Mahanavami. On this day, people clean their vehicles, decorate them tastefully and perform Poojas.
In Mangaluru city, the streets looked colourful with tastefully decorated vehicles moving on the roads. On account of Dussera celebrations, the prices of fruits, and flowers soared very high.
On the day of Ayuddha Pooja, poojas will be offered various kinds of machineries and petty instruments used ranging from screw driver, Knife, Computers, Refrigerators, Televisions, Sewing machines, Generators, Bi-cycle, Bike, Car, Lorries, and other machineries after cleaning them. The farmer will clean his plough and perform pooja to it on this day.
Some people and government offices observed Ayuddha pooja yesterday while many vehicle owners, and private firms preferred to observe the festival today. As it was a holiday for students, they were seen enthusiastically participating in the celebrations.
Some visited various shrines to perform Poojas to their vehicles. On this account, long queues of vehicles were seen in the temple premises.
The entire family will come together and celebrate this festival and enjoy the day.
