Speaking during the protest, B K Imthiyaz, member of online taxi and drivers, and owners association said, Ola Company has begun operating in Mangaluru nine months ago. For six months, it had paid well to the owners/drivers according to their work. But now, Ola is cheating the operators and has broken the agreement of three years. Due to this we are facing losses and though we are protesting over the past ten days, no actions have been taken, he alleged.

Towards the demand of the Ola drivers, the company is responding in a defiant manner. Regarding this matter, we have also submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner. He has warned them to correct their mistakes. Although two days have elapsed after this incident no actions have been taken, he complained.

The fares are changing suddenly. Due to this we are in trouble. The company denies holding discussion with us. Ola Company has brought us to the streets. This is a company of deceivers. The Ola Company should take responsibility of the loan repayment which we have taken for this purpose, he demanded.
