Mangaluru, December 11: In Panambur beach, a cottage with bar facility is coming up, and it is being constructed by Dakshina Kannada youth Congress president Mitun Rai. Meanwhile, there are allegations that CRZ laws are violated and the resort is being built.
As per CRZ law, there is no provision for permanent works in the sea shore. This law is a glitch to the people who possess own land in CRZ area while they undertake house construction works or renovate old buildings. Those who constructed houses in this area have not yet got the house number, electricity connection, and water connection due to the CRZ rules and are facing trouble. But it does not seem that this resort which is coming up in Panambur faces all these glitches. In this resort, bar and lodging facility for the tourists has been made. Brisk constructions works of this modern resort is going on and will be completed in few days. The publics question that when permission is not given for small house construction and house renovation works, how permission was given for this luxurious resort construction work?.
DYFI has alleged that this resort has been constructed by violating the CRZ rules and an oral complaint regarding this has been given to the Deputy Commissioner, said the association. Meanwhile, the Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim has visited the said resort construction site and inspected on Thursday.
No complaints received regarding the violation of law: DC
I have inspected the resort that is being constructed in Panambur beach. So far, no complaints have arrived stating that the resort is constructed by violating the CRZ rules. However, a report from the concerned department will be sought pertaining to weather the CRZ rules are violated while constructing this resort, said Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim.

As per the CRZ rules, there are no provisions to for permanent constructions in the sea shore. When there is no permission to construct only houses for the poor in the sea shore, it is an astonishing fact that permission has been granted to construct resort. Congress leader Mitun Rai is constructing the resort by violating the laws. Hence the departments have to withdraw the permission that has been given. Pertaining to this, a written complaint would be given by the DYFI to the Deputy Commissioner, said DYFI state president Muneer Katipalla.
