Murder attempt on rowdy-sheeter Haneef – Car used for the crime and two machetes found.

Bantwal, December 11: In connection to the murder attempt on rowdy-sheeter Haneef alias Mada Haneef (38) that took place in Maripalla near Farangipet in Bantwal taluk, the Bantwal rural police have seized the alto car and two machetes used by the culprits.

The car was found abandoned near a garage in Ganada Padpu in Bantwal and two machetes were also found inside the car.

It is said, the attackers had taken the car on rent. The police have also gathered information about the culprits. Police investigations have revealed that five persons have involved in the crime. From the preliminary investigations, the police found that personal grudge was the reason behind the crime.

After committing the crime, the culprits have abandoned the car near a garage in Ganadapadpu and escaped via BC Road. As per the information given by the locals that a car was suspiciously parked in the area; the police inspected the car and found two machetes inside the car and immediately took the car into custody.

Mada Haneef who was admitted in critical state to a hospital in Mangaluru is out of danger and is responding to the treatments, it is said.

Under the guidance of District Superintendent of Police Dr S D Sharanappa, Bantwal ASP Rahul Kumar, Circle Inspector Belliappa, and SHO Rakshith Gowda are investigating the case.
