Syndicate bank burgled, cash over two lakhs looted.

Udupi, December 14:  Thieves entered the Syndicate bank Nandikoor branch in Padubidri and burgled cash of over two lakhs on the night of Sunday, December 14th. The incident came to light on Monday.

The thieves gained entry into the bank by breaking open the glass situated behind the building and opened the cupboard using a gas cutter and burgled cash of over two lakhs. The incident came to light on Monday morning. When the police inspected the spot, gas cylinder was found near the railway track.

Canine squad and finger print experts arrived at the spot and inspected.

No CCTV Cameras: No security guards were appointed in the Syndicate bank branch in Nandikoor. In addition CCTV cameras were not installed in the bank which shows security lapses on part of the bank.

The Padubidri police arrived at the spot and inspected.

Police have registered a case.
