Puttur, December 15: Human skull and skeleton was found inside a sack near Bhaktakodi Renjiladi in the taluk on Monday, December 14th.
Foul smell was emanating in the place and a dog was also seen moving around the sack. When the locals on noticing this inspected at the spot, the skeleton part in a decomposed state was found.
Police on receiving the information visited the spot and inspected. On searching the area, the skull was also found in a sack nearby. As the body parts were found in two separate sacks, it is believed to be a murder.
It is gathered that, at a little distance away from where the skeleton was found, a silver karimani chain, liquor bottle, saree, and pant were also found.
ASP Vincent Shantakumar, Puttur ASP Rishyant visited the spot and inspected.
