Udupi, December 16: A bike rider expired after a fish transporting lorry collided to his bike. The incident took place near Vidyanikethan School in Kaup on the night of Tuesday, December 15th.
The deceased has been identified as Nischal Shetty (36), resident of Beedu in Padubidri. He was the district president of Udupi JDS.
The pillion rider Mohan Kalmady suffered serious injuries on his leg and has been admitted to a hospital.
It is learnt, Nischal Shetty got married just last year. He is survived by his wife and mother.
Nischal Shetty was the founder of Hindu Yuva Sene in Padubidri.
A case has been registered in Kaup police station.
