NewDelhi, December 18: A delegation led by Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel on Thursday, December 17th met the Union Minister for Environment and Forests Prakash Javedkar in NewDelhi and discussed on the environmental effects that would be caused by Yettinahole project.
The minister gave a positive response to the memorandum given by the delegation and assured of protecting the interests of the citizens of Dakshina Kannada.
The delegation that met the Union minister comprised of Irrigation specialist Dr S G Mayya, retired IAS officer V V Bhat, Mangaluru City Corporation Deputy Mayor Purushottam Chitrapura, Senior Advocate Prince Issac, environmental fighters Shashiraj Shetty Kolambe, K N Somshekar, Ramachandra Baikampady, Dakshina Kannada BJP Secretary Sanjeeva Mattandur and others.
