Mangaluru, December 19: The Dakshina Kannada district congress staged a protest on Saturday December 19th in front of the deputy Commissioners office here and alleged that, BJP led NDA government is doing political conspiracy in the ‘National Herald’ case.
MLC Ivan D’Souza addressed the protest and said, in the ‘National Herald’ case; the congress national president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi have been made the victims. The political conspiracy done by BJP is the reason for ‘National Herald’ scam. He said, Dr Swami is working as a BJP agent and termed him ‘BJP’s dog’. The BJP government is spending crores of rupees towards him. Swami has raised many issues but in none of the cases people have been convicted, he said.
Dakshina Kannada District in-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai, spoke on this occasion and said, Swamy is mentally ill. The BJP will not survive if the congress leaders are sent to jail on false allegations. The allegations made by Dr Swami against Congress leaders are false, he said.
AICC member P. V. Mohan, MUDA Chairman Ibrahim Kodijal, H. M. Ashraf, Nazir Bajal, Shashidhar Hegde, Mamatha Gatti, Nagendra, Sadashiva Ullal and others were present on this occasion.
