Moodbidri, December 26: On the first day of National Cultural Fest ‘Alva’s Virasat’, in the second program – Sangeeta Rasamanjari; the music lovers got the chance of listening to the Tulu song ‘Mokeda Singari….Untude Vayyari…Yane Moolu Katondulle Madate Popana…’ in the voice of renowned singer Padmashree Dr S P Balasubramanyam.
SPB sung the films songs in Kannada, Tulu, Hindi, Tamil, Telgu and Malayalam which received huge applause from the audience.
SPB began with the song of ‘Hombisilu’ movie – ‘Jeeva Veene Neenu Miditada Sangeeta’, ‘Joteyali Jote Joteyali’ of Geeta movie, ‘Ee Pada Punya Pada’ of Shri Manjunatha movie, ‘Roja Jane Man’ of Roja movie, ‘Anjali Anjali Pushpanjali’ of Duet movie, ‘Tari Kere Yeri Mele’- of Devara Duddu, ‘Naguva Nayanaa Madhura Mauna’ of Pallavi Anupallavi movie and on request of Dr Mohan Alva, SPB sung the ‘Shankaraa Nada Shareera’- of Shankarabharana movie and entertained the audience.
In the Sangeetha Rasamanjari program, Archana Udupa and Poornima assisted SPB. Shrinivasa, and Rameshchandra also sung the songs. Ashiwni, Shruti Kartik and Venugopal assisted in the background music.
