Kasargod, December 29: In a tragic incident, a son lost his life after coming under the tyres of a lorry driven by his own father. The incident took place at Mulleria near here on Monday, December 28th.
The deceased youth is identified as Mohammed Rizwan (21), son of Abdulla from Karabar in Belthangady.
As per reports, Abdulla and his son Mohammed Rizwan were going to Kozhikode from Belthangady in a wood laden lorry. When the lorry reached Kadakavannat near Mulleria, a noise was coming from under the lorry. Abdulla, who was driving, stopped the lorry and asked his son Rizwan to go beneath the lorry and check what was wrong.
While Rizwan was beneath the lorry checking out the fault; the lorry moved forward by accident. Rizwan got trapped under the tyre during the brief movement of the lorry and died instantly.
The police have registered a case.
